Applications for Dilworth scholarships for the 2027 academic year are now open. The deadline for submitting an application is 31 May 2026. Each year there are up to 60 places for Year 7 students and in 2027 a number of places at Year 9. There are also limited places at other year levels up to and including Year 12. For students entering at all year levels, the first step is to complete an application form when the student is in the year prior to the year they wish to start.
Applications are reviewed as they are received. If the application is to proceed past the initial stage, the nominated referees will be contacted in writing, as well as a request made to the student’s current school for further information. Once these reports are received, the application is reviewed again. We may also request further information at this stage of the application process.
If the application proceeds to the next stage, the applicant and student will be invited to attend an initial interview with the Head of Admissions. These applications will then be considered for shortlisting.
Shortlisted candidates will spend a morning at Dilworth. The morning will include a tour, academic testing and some team-building activities.
Approximately a week later there will be a final interview for the student and applicant with Trustees of the Dilworth Trust Board and the Headmaster.
