Gardener 

  • Located at our Senior Campus

We are seeking a permanent, full time Gardener to start immediately. The role is based in Epsom, Auckland. Join our gardening team by providing gardening maintenance including hedges, planting, lawns and working in a team environment.

About you?

  • You are an experienced and preferably qualified with a Level 3 Certificate in Horticulture, Landscape Gardening or similar with at least 3-5 years hands on experience 
  • You will maintain the gardens, lawns, passive areas and hedges to a high standard and have an eye for detail.
  • You have a great can-do attitude and have the ability to be a self-starter and work individually

Teacher in Charge of Media Studies and/or English Teacher

The school is seeking to fill a permanent, full-time position as Teacher in Charge of Media Studies and/or an English Teacher to Scholarship level with the possibility of a leadership role for the right candidate.  The successful candidate would ideally start on Monday 29th April and is primarily based at the Senior Campus in Epsom. They can be teaching Years 7-13, including Scholarship. 

Given Dilworth is a small school, teaching across curriculum subject areas is desirable; please state all supporting subjects in your application.

In September 2025, Dilworth School successfully achieved reaccreditation through the Australian Childhood Foundation’s (ACF) Safeguarding Children Programme. School Counsellor

The school is seeking to fill a full-time position for a Registered Counsellor primarily based at the Senior Campus, also assisting the Junior Campus, in Epsom. This role is largely term-time only with the option to offer a small number of additional weeks per year for administration and policy work. The key purpose of the role is to support students, in years 7-13, who are facing challenges and collaborate with whānau/families, the school psychologist, boarding staff, teaching staff, and senior leadership to gain a holistic understanding of students' needs. The successful applicant will be competent in a variety of counselling approaches, have experience working with young people and their whānau/families, demonstrate cultural competence in their practice and demonstrate excellent communication skills through effective collaboration with colleagues, management and senior leadership.

The Counselling role includes:

  • One-on-one student counselling
  • Small group counselling
  • Engaging with whānau/families as needed to support students’ experiences
  • Working within the Student Services team to triage referrals and participate in MDT meetings
  • Confidential management of student cases

Desired skills:

  • Experience working with adolescents, children, and whānau/families from a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to develop positive, professional relationships within a counselling team
  • A well-developed understanding of how to navigate ethical concerns as they arise in their practice
  • Effective engagement with wider school staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with various software applications – familiarity with KAMAR is a plus
  • Respond effectively in high stress/crisis situations when they arise
  • Confidently undertake individualised risk assessments

Required skills / Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification in counselling or relevant field
  • Current registration with NZ Counsellors Association, or other relevant professional body
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in relevant counselling / therapy field
